Kespat Oy is a 40-year old patent agency consisting of nine IPR experts including five European patent attorneys. We handle patents, utility models, trademarks, industrial designs and related IP matters for clients small and large. Kespat Oy has established a strong position for itself as a rival to larger IP firms, with many long-term clients. We appreciate the trust they have shown in our company and thank them for helping us to grow.
Though our profile is particularly aligned with patents and designs, we have also maintained know-how in trademark matters. Thus, we frequently handle Finnish refusal cases of international trademarks (Madrid agreement).
Finland joined to the London Agreement in 2011 and is a member state of the Unitary Patent system. Thus, validating an EP-patent in Finland has become very cost effective.
Kespat Oy was founded in 1984 by Kimmo Helke, M.Sc., who previously worked as a patent examiner in the Finnish Patent Office. The ownership was reorganized in 2014 and younger patent attorneys were called to partners.
